Hair + Nails

Hair + nail support for periods of rapid change

Hair + Nails

Major weight changes can coincide with temporary shedding, and hair responds on a delay. Hair + Nails provides biotin, vitamin D3 and folate in one no-water strip—simple support while nutrition and clinical care stay in focus.

Formula highlights

Each orange-flavored oral strip provides 5,000 mcg biotin, 20 mcg (800 IU) vitamin D3 and 400 mcg DFE folate. 30 strips.

How to use

Adults place one strip on the tongue daily and allow it to dissolve. Do not exceed the recommended serving.

Important safety information

Contains 5,000 mcg biotin. Biotin can interfere with some laboratory tests, including certain thyroid and cardiac-marker tests. Tell your healthcare professional and laboratory before blood work. Consult a physician if pregnant, nursing, under 18, taking medication or managing a medical condition.

WHY IT MATTERS

What changes today may not show up in your hair until months later.

  • Shedding can arrive on a delay

Telogen effluvium often becomes visible two to three months after a physiological, dietary or weight-loss trigger.

  • Rapid change is a real context

Hair-loss events have been reported in GLP-1 studies, while weight change, lower intake and other factors may also contribute.

  • Smaller meals leave less room for gaps

When intake becomes lower or less varied, consistently covering everyday nutrients can require more attention.

  • Hair loss has more than one cause

Stress, thyroid status, iron, illness, medications and nutrition can all matter; sudden or persistent shedding deserves professional evaluation.

What Hair + Nails adds to the routine.

Three clearly labeled nutrients

5,000 mcg biotin plus 100% DV vitamin D3 and folate in each strip.

A format built for follow-through

No pill and no water—place the orange-flavored strip on your tongue and let it dissolve.

Honest, supportive positioning

Designed for nutrient support, not to promise regrowth, stop shedding or replace medical evaluation.

NUVORI VS. A BEAUTY CAPSULE

Why the strip format matters

The formula is simple; the behavior advantage is the point. Hair + Nails turns three nutrients into a portable, no-water ritual that is easier to keep.

WHAT’S INSIDE

What each strip contributes

Biotin, vitamin D3 and folate provide daily nutrient coverage. The evidence does not show that this formula treats hair loss, so the promise stays focused on support and consistency.

Biotin

5,000 mcg per strip. Biotin supports normal hair and nail maintenance, but evidence for extra benefit in people without deficiency is limited.*

Vitamin D3

20 mcg (800 IU), providing 100% of the Daily Value as part of everyday nutrient coverage.*

Folate

400 mcg DFE from folic acid, providing 100% of the Daily Value per strip.*

The oral strip

Pullulan, mannitol and cellulose form the dissolving strip, designed for a no-water daily routine.

Orange flavor

Orange flavor, monk fruit, malic acid and steviol glycosides create a bright, easy-to-take finish.

RESEARCH, IN CONTEXT

What the evidence says—and what it does not

The data validate the concern and explain the delay, while keeping a clear boundary around what biotin and this finished product have actually been shown to do.

BIOTIN + HAIR Focused human-evidence review

Biotin is best framed as nutrient support—not a regrowth promise.

3 eligible human studies 2024
View evidence

A focused review found only three eligible human studies of oral biotin for hair outcomes. In the strongest controlled study, biotin did not significantly outperform placebo.

What it does not prove

Evidence is sparse and does not support routine biotin for hair growth in otherwise healthy adults. The review did not test Nuvori or an oral strip.

BIOTIN + NAILS Small human study

A small study suggests brittle nails may change only over months.

25% thickness increase 1990
View evidence

In a small non-placebo-controlled study, 2.5 mg biotin was associated with a 25% increase in nail thickness in the immediate pre/post group after about 9.6 months on average.

What it does not prove

The study included 32 people, used half Nuvori’s dose, and did not test hair, skin or an oral strip. The delayed group’s 7% increase was not statistically significant.

GLP-1 + HAIR Systematic review + meta-analysis

Hair-loss signals have been measured across GLP-1 trials.

9 interventional studies 2026
View evidence

Across 4,114 GLP-1 users, reported hair loss was more frequent than placebo; the pooled single-arm event rate was 3.9%.

What it does not prove

The analysis did not establish the cause of each event and did not test biotin, vitamin D, folate, Nuvori or any prevention strategy.

HAIR-CYCLE DELAY Clinical review

Visible shedding can lag two to three months behind a trigger.

2–3 months after a trigger 2021
View evidence

A review of telogen effluvium describes sudden weight loss as a recognized physiological trigger and explains that diffuse shedding often appears two to three months later.

What it does not prove

Not every case of shedding is telogen effluvium, and the review did not test GLP-1 therapy, biotin or Nuvori. It does not show that early supplementation prevents shedding.

WEIGHT CHANGE + NUTRITION Systematic review + meta-analysis

Hair shedding after major weight loss is multifactorial.

18 studies 2021
View evidence

After metabolic and bariatric surgery, pooled hair-loss incidence was 57%; lower folate, zinc and ferritin levels were associated with hair loss.

What it does not prove

Bariatric-surgery patients are not GLP-1 users. Observational associations do not show that adding folate prevents or treats shedding.

Zhang et al. Obes Surg. DOI: 10.1007/s11695-021-05311-2. PMID: 33675022.

BIOTIN + LAB TESTS Controlled crossover study

High-dose biotin can interfere with some laboratory results.

9 of 23 biotin-based assays affected 2017
View evidence

After six healthy adults took 10 mg biotin daily for seven days, nine of 23 biotin-streptavidin assays showed interference; direction and magnitude varied by test.

What it does not prove

The study was small and used 10 mg rather than Nuvori’s 5 mg. Risk and timing vary by assay, so tell your clinician and laboratory before blood tests.

Li et al. JAMA. DOI: 10.1001/jama.2017.13705. PMID: 28973622.

These sources examine GLP-1 treatment context, telogen effluvium, nutrient status or individual ingredients—not Nuvori Hair + Nails as a finished product. They do not show that this product prevents shedding, regrows hair, treats a deficiency or works faster because it is a strip.

HOW TO USE

Start the habit before you expect an instant result.

Place one orange-flavored strip on your tongue daily and allow it to dissolve. Hair and nails change slowly. Tell your healthcare professional and laboratory that you take 5,000 mcg biotin before blood tests.

Questions, answered clearly.

Why should I start now?

Hair-cycle changes can become visible months after a trigger, while hair and nails themselves change slowly. Starting a consistent nutrition routine early is practical—but this product cannot guarantee that shedding will be prevented.

Will it stop shedding or regrow hair?

No supplement can promise that. Evidence for extra biotin in people without deficiency is limited, and shedding has many possible causes. Persistent, sudden, patchy or severe changes deserve medical evaluation.

Then what am I buying?

You are buying a simple, no-water way to add 5,000 mcg biotin plus vitamin D3 and folate to a daily hair-and-nail nutrient routine. Its strongest advantage is consistency and convenience, not a drug-like outcome.

Does the strip work faster than a pill?

No superior-absorption or faster-results claim has been established for this product. The strip’s benefit is practical: it dissolves on the tongue and requires no water.

Can I use it alongside a prescribed GLP-1?

Ask your clinician or pharmacist to review the ingredients, your other supplements and your health history. Do not use it as a substitute for evaluating the cause of hair changes.

Why mention biotin before lab tests?

This product contains 5,000 mcg biotin, which can interfere with some laboratory tests and produce misleading results. Tell your healthcare professional and laboratory before blood work and follow their timing instructions.
